Swagbucks Product Overview

Swagbucks is an online rewards program that has given out more than 86 million dollars in rewards.  There are multiple ways to earn Swagbucks that are broken into 7 different categories; searching the web, shopping online, watching videos, playing games, answering surveys or polls, using coupons from Swagbucks or referring friends. With the easiest of these being using their search feature to search the internet.

Each time you do one of the tasks associated with each category listed above you will earn a reward. The payouts for each can vary from one Swagbuck to several hundred, but expect to get the 5-50 ratios most of the time for completing tasks.

The money ratio of a Swagbuck compared to the face value of a gift-card is about 100 Swagbucks per dollar, roughly.

The Pros and Cons of Swagbucks

  • Earning rewards for tasks that you are already doing (searching the internet and watching videos are the best examples of this)
  • It is free to join Swagbucks
  • There are multiple ways to earn rewards with Swagbucks
  • Swagbucks has gone mobile (Android and Apple) which allows you the opportunity to earn even more rewards
  • You can purchase gift cards to use with Swagbucks. If you use your gift cards at online retailers associated with Swagbucks, this gives additional credit opportunities.
  • Amazon $5 gift card can be had for 450 Swagbucks. This is the only $5 dollar gift card that is less than 500 Swagbucks.
  • Money can be transferred to Paypal for cash on your Paypal account.

  • Earning any substantial rewards can be somewhat time-consuming and feel like a hassle, when compared to the rewards given for time spent on earning.
  • Rewards can be limited (example: 150 Swagbucks for watching video’s per day.)
  • Surveys are time-consuming for reward given
  • You can get stuck performing activities that don’t pay out much, because of all the options available to earn rewards

Who is Swagbucks for?

Swagbucks can be used by almost anyone with a computer or mobile phone that is compatible. You must be above the age of 13 to join Swagbucks, which is a lower age than some of the other rewards programs online.

Swagbucks Tools and Training

Training is not really required to get started earning rewards with Swagbucks. However, they do have video tutorials in order to teach you how to utilize each category to gain rewards. There is a plugin for PC version in order to perform all earning actions like searching or playing games without having to go directly to the website.

The mobile application can be downloaded directly from Google Play or from the Apple App store.

There is an additional app called SBTV that can be downloaded on Android or iPhone in order to watch videos. You can get your 150 video Swagbucks per day for watching the videos on this additional app, just let it run.

Swagbucks Support

Swagbucks has a pretty good support system in place and can be accessed in a variety of ways.

You can watch tutorial videos on the Swagbucks website that allow you to learn on your own. There are ton’s of YouTube video’s available for Swagbucks that can help you get past any technical issue, or even give advice on the best way to get the most bang for your Swagbucks time spent. Swagbucks also has a Twitter and Facebook page in which you could reach out to as well.

You can contact the Swagbucks support team via Email if you are a member. They also have a forum available with an active community of fellow Swagbucks members that can offer help to guide you through any issue that may arise.

The Price of Swagbucks

The computer version and the mobile app versions (including SBTV) are completely 100% free to sign up for and download (Mobile version only.)

My Final Opinion on Swagbucks

Swagbucks is an easy to use and even easier to earn product.

There is some potential to earn some decent Swagbucks rewards and get some gift cards for doing everyday activities (like searching the internet.) Some tasks that are done to earn rewards pay out much better than others and these are the ones that will need to be concentrated on. (Example: Playing the games can be fun, but I never earn many rewards when compared to doing some of the other activities that take a much less amount of time)

Swagbucks is not gonna allow you to quit your day job by any means, and will not provide any sort of substantial income. If you are looking for something to provide an income then you will need to search elsewhere.

However, Swagbucks will permit you to gain that little bit extra when you are bored or just for searching the net and it is a great program for that. If you are the type of person that is just looking to grab an extra $5 amazon card or something similar every now and again, then Swagbucks is a great product to give a try.

If you are looking for a way to make a substantial amount of money and gift cards are not your thing, then check out how Swagbucks stacks up against a full fledge training program that will help you start your very own online business.

  1. I enjoy your review. I am on WA also, as a longtime free member. I have been doing Swagbucks off and on since December, getting more regular to save up for a few gizmos I need. I found this week they changed the $5 to 500 but have a $3 Amazon now, and a discount on first $25 card of month. Just thought I would let you know. It is good to find honest reviews of the two programs I am in! Best wishes

  2. Swagbucks is a great way to earn some extra cash via giftcards. I make at least $50.00 a month giftcard I use these to buy me a new video game per month, since my parents will not spend money on things like this for me.

  3. That’s great Jerry! There is nothing wrong with finding a way to make a little extra money on your own to get the things you want/need. Video games are expensive and not every family can afford the newest release every time it drops. Way to get out there and make it happen on your own, kudo’s to you Jerry …..
